If You Own An Archaic Industrial Structure A Hydraulic Door Can Breathe New Life Into It
Frequently farm structures and other industrial units were put together in a time when lots of care was taken with the design, architecture and build of the structure. Old fashioned entrepreneurs were very proud of the splendour of their structures, whether they were manufacturing works, mills or less concequential buildings they got much more lavish attention than working units of today. During the construction they often integrated ornamental and historic elements that demand now to be conserved as evidence of the ethos and experience of times gone by.
Unfortunately a lot of these buildings are just not right for the job any more, regularly having little industrial doors and a multitude of internal walls and divisions that do not comply with today’s need for space and flexibility and this issue means that a lot of these buildings are just falling down through total disregard and lack of interest. It goes without saying not only were these things built magnificently, they were also build extremely well, labour and equipment were a lot less expensive in contrast to today and so the longevity of them can be made use of to great effect if the issues of flexibility can be overcome. With a lot of the stock there is the need to ensure that the look of the building is retained so some of the modern amendments that would allow the building to work appropriately just don’t fit in with preservation orders and would mean the building loosing it’s link with history.
One solution in terms of flexibility is to get rid of the generally limiting issue of door size by choosing a hydraulic type industrial door. These can be constructed to large dimensions and it often means that one complete side of the building can be replaced with an aperture therefore giving instant access to the whole cross section of the building and dealing with access issues. The strength and its ability to be cladded in exactly the same material as the original wall means this option is perfect for breathing life into an old but valuable building and retains posterity at the same time.
